Artec Aqua and VAQ have long been leaders in the development of land-based aquaculture facilities. To continue this exciting journey, we have chosen to join forces as part of the Endúr Group – a Nordic industrial group with the goal of being a world leader in aquaculture. Together with other companies in the Endúr Group, we offer turnkey contracts for land-based facilities both nationally and internationally.
Endúr.noWe will continue as two companies under the brand names Artec Aqua and VAQ, but with close collaboration in future projects and with competence sharing across the companies. The broad lines will be that Artec Aqua will take the lead in projects with hybrid or flow-through, while VAQ will take the lead in projects with RAS.
Artec Aqua will focus primarily on state-of-the-art FTS and hybrid systems.
VAQ will continue its specialization in resource-saving RAS systems.
Land-based aquaculture is a rapidly growing area, but we are still at the beginning. More and more facilities are being built on land around the world, and the trend is toward larger and more complex facilities.
By bringing the best of both worlds, we will work together to continuously optimize and further develop the technologies.
In a world with an ever-growing population and greater demands to solve environmental challenges, there is a need for better ways to utilize resources to produce good and healthy food. Aquaculture will play an important role here.
The collaboration will increase our recruitment reach as we are now established with offices in Ålesund, Asker, Oslo, Trondheim and Ribe.
